Today is the one year anniversary of this blog, The Braid. It has been for me an enriching experience. Through this endeavor my passion for origami has increased and the desire to communicate my experiences folding paper has also grown. When I first started The Braid –and the Spanish version of the site, La Trenza, I wondered if I would have much to say or enough motivation to write frequently. Today I realize the level of motivation has taken care of itself, and that there is always something to share both of folding, and of the act of writing itself.
I want to thank my visitors and especially those that take time to send messages or post comments. Such interaction completes the circle of communication, and makes blogging so satisfying. I’m also grateful for access to such a space as this, made possible by WordPress, which provides both a platform for my imagination and the opportunity to meet and interact with people worldwide who share a similar interest.
