Hi Leyla
Have you ever tried Qi Gong-a gentler form of breathing and
stretching exercises than yoga or perhaps you can call Qi Gong
the Chinese adaptation of Buddhist practice and theory.

Qi is the energy that we bring into our bodies but sometimes there is tension in the body that blocks the flow of this energy. Qi Gong is a form of exercise that uses breathing and stretching to teach the body how to relax and allow the Qi to enter and fill the body. Tai Qi is the set of exercises that moves the Qi around in the body.

your talented hands are necessary to many of us so i hope that whatever you are doing restores you quickly.

Dear Leyla

I like the little bee very much. I have a friend who has beehives and make her own honey. She lives in Latvia. Next time I visit her I would like to give her a mobile with flowers and bees made in origami, but I cannot find a bee like yours. The book you mention is not a book I can get in this little country of mine (Denmark). We don't do much in origami here. Can you help me fold the bees? I would bee forever grateful. - Karen Margrethe

I am interested in having a "sphere" folded. About 4-6 in in diameter. I see that there are several online instructions, but I am not able to do them. I need it by Oct 10th, 09. I live in Sacramento Ca.

Can you give me some idea of the cost? I know that it will depend on how intricate it will be, but a cost window will help me decide. I can also look online or thru some books to find a photo of what I want.

I look forward to hearing from you.

Thanks

Hi Candace,
	• I folded an unfolded several butterflies.
	• I studied the crease pattern.
	• I colored the sections of a folded model using different color pencils and then unfolded it.
	• I studied where each section would be in the finished model.
	• I applied the crayon shavings to the surface of the flat piece of the final piece of paper following roughly my sketches of the draft models. I have not done this in a while, but I seem to remember applying color in certain areas of both sides of the paper.
It was involved and took me a while, but everything had to do with studying the crease pattern. Good luck!

I ordered onion skin and I plan to make the butterflies. I am interested in how you so accurately colored their abdomens.

Hi Suzie,

Thank you for visiting my blog. About the upright cat... I'm sorry I do not have diagrams or instructions to share. All I can tell you is that I used paper whose proportions were 1 unit by 2 units (for example: six inches by twelve inches) and swiveled the head in a way that the rest of the body could be set in a vertical position.
I'm not too happy about the tail, and I feel I need to work on it a little more to be worth diagramming it... I think this is a cat still in process... I recommend you play with how its head can be moved. By doing this, you can arrive at an upright cat with no tail, but still effecltive. As for paper, I have been successful using Canson paper.

Good luck,

Leyla
