Creative Use of Origami for Place Cards

Recently, my family celebrated  my parent’s golden anniversary.  Since I wanted origami to be present on this occasion, I asked for ideas to a group of friends with whom I communicate through an Internet origami mailing list.
Hans-Werner Guth (Germany) sent me a very nice idea of his creation…

    These place cards are absolutely stunning! Thank you so much for sharing with us Leyla. I was following your request with idea submissions on the O List. I feel you made the perfect choice … truly classy.

    When you have a moment, would you please help me with some dimensions/ratio for the circle to card stock? I am having some difficulty getting it right.
