I have written about an ingenious container made with a plastic bottle I was given by Tricia Tait. Now I write about what was inside the container, a charming modular ball created by Fumiyaki Kawahata (folded by Tricia).
A few days ago I took it apart to see how to make the module and how to put together the ball, which is made with six modules. I taught it at my local origami meeting, and everyone folded it successfully. Nothing like teaching a model to better memorize it!
Here I post a crease pattern and step photos for folding the module and putting the ball together.
I was so fascinated by the container, I didn’t even pay much attention to the model inside, until after I got home from NY.
